Ylvi kids' bed: padded floor bed with all-round side protection

The Ylvi kids' bed is a low, padded floor bed for the children's room. All-round padded walls enclose the sleeping area on three sides; at the front the wall is lowered so your child can get in and out without a ladder. The T25 foam mattress (16 cm) is included in the price. In the product configurator you choose the sleeping area, fabric and colour – from compact sizes to larger surfaces for growing children.

If you are looking for a kids' bed with a clearly enclosed sleeping area, Ylvi is the model with the strongest padded side protection in our range. More open and design-oriented are models such as Lumi or the cloud bed Nuvi.

Manufacturer information on assembly and dimensions (Ylvi)

A cosy retreat for dreaming, cuddling and playing! The 50 cm high and 10 cm thick side walls are made of high-quality T28 foam and give your child a safe, secure feeling. The low entry opening makes it easy to climb in and out independently.

The bed comes with a 16 cm high mattress made of T25 foam. The covers of the bed and mattress are removable and easy to clean. An anti-slip mat keeps the mattress firmly in place.

Dimensions and available sizes

You choose the sleeping area yourself. Available widths: 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 140 or 160 cm. Available lengths: 140, 160, 180 or 200 cm. This way, search intents such as kids' bed 80×180, kids' bed 90×200 or kids' bed 100×200 are covered by the real variant selection – only in the combinations that WooCommerce enables for Ylvi.

Overall dimensions: depend on the chosen sleeping area. Wall height of 50 cm and wall thickness of 10 cm apply to the whole model. The dimension drawing on the product shows the example of an 80 × 180 cm sleeping area with outer dimensions of 100 × 200 cm.

Fabrics in detail: Glam, Lambi and Quelle

You choose the cover and colour on the product page. Manufacturer descriptions are available for the Glam, Lambi and Quelle collections. Perfecto is still selectable as a fabric option; this media package contains no separate description text for it.

Glam fabric

Glam combines softness and fluffiness with a modern look. The dense, firm structure looks high-quality; the three-dimensional surface combines modern design with a cosy character. The colours are harmoniously coordinated. Thanks to the easy-clean finish, liquids do not penetrate the fabric as quickly. Glam is above-average abrasion-resistant.

Lambi fabric

Lambi is a bouclé fabric with a pleasant feel. It combines high lying and sitting comfort with practical functionality. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance, the fabric stays well-kept even after long use.

Quelle fabric

Quelle is a soft bouclé fabric with a fine loop structure. It feels pleasantly warm and is high-quality and hard-wearing – even with daily use in a child's room. Quelle is available in many harmonious colours.

The walls enclose the sleeping area on three sides and give the sleeping place a secure, cocooning profile. All corners are rounded and fully padded – no hard bed edges on the upholstery. The anti-slip fabric in the sleeping area helps hold the mattress securely in place.

Choose fabrics and colours individually

You put together the cover and colour from the fabric collections Glam, Perfecto, Lambi and Quelle. The colour selection offers the codes enabled for Ylvi. Examples from our images: Glam 03 Light Beige, Glam 11 Grey, Glam 15 Pink and Lambi 16 Grey-Blue. You will receive the combination you choose on the product – not the example picture.

With fabric and colour you can match the padded floor bed to wall colour, curtains and existing furniture in the children's room without changing the model.

Ylvi comes with the matching mattress – soft and ready for cosy nights. Product photos show the bed already dressed; matching cushions such as Cloud or Star are optional in Decorative cushions.

Planning the sleeping area: from compact to generous

Widths from 70 to 160 cm and lengths from 140 to 200 cm cover typical planning questions: a compact spot in a small children's room, a longer sleeping area for growing children, or wider surfaces if the bed is also used as a cuddle corner. Important: not every width is combined with every length – the variants enabled on the product are decisive.

The dimension drawing on the product shows, as an example, an 80 × 180 cm sleeping area with outer dimensions of 100 × 200 cm. Wall height of 50 cm and wall thickness of 10 cm stay the same across the model; only the sleeping area scales. This keeps the side protection comparable across all sizes.

Care of the removable covers

Bed cover and mattress cover are removable. This makes it easier to change them after everyday life in the children's room and to clean them according to the care instructions of the chosen fabric. The anti-slip fabric in the sleeping area stays on the bed frame and helps hold the mattress in place when the cover is put back on.

When choosing the fabric (Glam, Perfecto, Lambi, Quelle) you decide not only on the look but also on the feel in the room. The colour codes on the product show the enabled shades; example pictures (e.g. Glam 03, Glam 11, Glam 15, Lambi 16) serve for orientation only.
