Lumi children's bed: upholstered floor bed with a high headboard

The Lumi children's bed stands directly on the floor as a floor bed. A tall, rounded backrest frames the head end, the side panels stay lower, and the front remains open for getting in – no ladder needed. Unlike the fully enclosed Ylvi children's bed, Lumi relies on an open front and a pronounced headboard.

You can configure the sleeping area, fabric and colour from Glam, Perfecto, Lambi and Quelle. This way Lumi, as an upholstered bed for the children's room, adapts to the space and furnishings.

Manufacturer information on construction and dimensions (Lumi)

A cosy place to fall asleep, dream and relax! Lumi is made of high-quality T28 foam and gives your child a safe, secure feeling with its 80 cm high headboard and 40 cm high side panels. The frame is 20 cm high, and the side panels are 10 cm thick.

A 16 cm high T25 foam mattress is included in the price. The covers of the bed and the mattress are removable and easy to clean. A non-slip fabric on the underside keeps everything stable in place.

Dimensions and available sizes

Sleeping area width: 90, 100, 110, 120 or 140 cm. Sleeping area length: 180 or 200 cm. This means Lumi covers common search sizes such as children's bed 90×180, 100×200 or 120×200 – in each case only in the combinations enabled in the shop. Lumi has no bed side (left/right); the backrest is fixed at the head end.

Fabrics in detail: Glam, Lambi and Quelle

You select the cover and colour on the product page. Manufacturer descriptions are available for the Glam, Lambi and Quelle collections. Perfecto is still selectable as a fabric option; this media package does not include a separate description text for it.

Glam fabric

Glam combines softness and fluffiness with a modern look. The dense, firm structure looks high-end; the three-dimensional surface unites modern design with a cosy character. The colours are harmoniously matched. Thanks to its easy-care finish, liquids do not penetrate the fabric as quickly. Glam is exceptionally abrasion-resistant.

Lambi fabric

Lambi is a bouclé fabric with a pleasant feel. It combines high lying and seating comfort with practical functionality. Thanks to its high abrasion resistance, the fabric stays in good condition even after long use.

Quelle fabric

Quelle is a soft bouclé fabric with a fine loop structure. It feels pleasantly warm and is of high-quality workmanship and durable – even with daily use in the children's room. Quelle is available in many harmonious colours.

The high backrest supports the sleeping place at the head end but does not enclose the sleeping area all the way round. The foot end and front remain accessible – typical of an open upholstered floor bed.

Choose fabrics and colours individually

With the fabric and colour selection, Lumi can be adapted to the children's room. You can choose from Glam, Perfecto, Lambi and Quelle with the corresponding colour codes. The product photos show sample covers; your chosen combination will be delivered.

Mattress and scope of delivery

With Lumi the matching mattress is included in the price – soft and ready for cosy nights. Product photos show the bed already dressed; matching cushions such as Star are optional in Decorative cushions.

Made in Poland

Lumi is made in Poland – with care in the finish and a cover you can remove in everyday life. Quality and care stay close to the children’s room.

Lumi compared with Ylvi, Nuvi and Ondi

Ylvi encloses the sleeping area with upholstered walls and comes with the mattress included. Lumi stays open at the front, emphasises the high backrest and comes with the mattress (16 cm foam), like Ylvi, Nuvi and Ondi. Nuvi and Ondi share the idea of a designer floor bed with a selectable bed side, but rely on a cloud-shaped or wave-shaped backrest instead of Lumi's classic high backrest.

Lumi is therefore the choice if you want an upholstered floor bed with a clear headboard and the mattress included – without an enclosing box and without a mirrored bed side.

Sleeping area and room planning

Widths from 90 to 140 cm and lengths of 180 or 200 cm cover common layouts: from the classic children's bed 90 × 180 to wider areas such as 120 × 200 or 140 × 200. Before ordering, check the space, walkways and door openings. The backrest is at the head end; there is no left/right mirroring as with Nuvi/Ondi.

Fabric, colour and everyday life in the children's room

Glam, Perfecto, Lambi and Quelle let you match wall colour, curtains and existing furniture. The product photos show sample covers; your selection will be delivered. Rounded, upholstered edges on the backrest and side panels avoid hard bed edges beneath the upholstery – typical of the soft look of an upholstered floor bed.

How to configure Lumi

Choose in turn the sleeping area (width/length), fabric and colour. Then put the bed in the shopping cart. Cushions from the accessories, e.g. Stern or Ball, can be added as decoration.

What sleeping area does the Lumi children's bed have?

Width 90, 100, 110, 120 or 140 cm and length 180 or 200 cm – depending on the selected variant.

Is a mattress included with the Lumi children's bed?

Yes. The 16 cm foam mattress is included in the price.
